Hi, I need some advice. As a result of the shutdown related to COVID19 and cancellations of study abroad programs the university has suffered a significant loss. I am being asked to develop a policy that would mitigate the university’s financial responsibility when cancellations occur as a result of circumstances beyond our control. I know from an earlier query that most of you took the lose to give the students a refund. I would like to know what other colleges and universities are doing to mitigate future liabilities.
Can you please tell me?
1) have you established new policy to deal with possible future loss?
2) have you found insurance policies that would cover this type of situation?
I appreciate any feedback
